Ashdown District is in East Sussex. Our village and town groups have beavers, cubs, scouts, and explorers. Ashdown Scouts are in Uckfield, Buxted, Crowborough, Hartfield, Groombridge, Rotherfield, Mayfield, Wadhurst and Ticehurst. On the edge of Ashdown Forest, with water activities at Bewl Water and Broadstone Warren Campsite on the west border. The Overland trophy is often won by Ashdown district scouts and explorers. Mountain expeditions and mountain bike challenges are regularly organised. The Ashdown Group provides adventure in East Sussex. Explorer scouts, Tullis and Avery Units were previously call venture scouts, they are still adventure scouts. This scout district site is a great resource for East Sussex scouts. The number of Ashdown's Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Explorer Scouts have been growing. More parents volunteer their time. 2007 highlight was Martlets East Sussex Jamboree.
