On Saturday, 28th July 2007, the Scouts, Leaders and at least some of the Cubs from Uckfield and Crowborough will be walking to the event from their home towns (14km from Uckfield and 20km from Crowborough),  supported by the 4th Uckfield Scout Band in their final approach to the Jamboree Gate.
 
Any others wishing to join in with this spectacle, even if only for the final approach, should contact the Martlets Publicity Officer, Alan Thompson, for further details.

The total number of bookings for Martlets, as of 1st January 2007 now stands at  more than 2,200.  More than 1,800 of these will be camping and more than 1,400 will be camping for the full week.
